At a dinner honoring the retirement of Reggie B. Fine.

You’ll notice that after seven years of providing you with free-of-charge (and free-of-pop-ups) Kentucky Fried goodness that I have added google ads and Amazon links to the site. Here’s the deal: The KFR column (dating back to the old moviepoopshoot.com days) and the site have always been a labor of love devoted to my passion. (And I’m talking professional wrestling here–not sports entertainment.)

Anyway, I’ve decided to make more of an ambitious effort with KFR, with more frequent updates and interviews with some of my former colleagues in the business. And yes, for the two or three who keep asking, I’ll soon even offer KFR T-shirts. (Sadly, they won’t be available in time for Valentine’s Day.)

Here’s where you come in. At the risk of sounding like Steve Small (TNA’s director who recently begged the fans at the Impact Zone to cheer and jeer as the company sees fit), I’m asking you to show your support for our sponsors. I would never ask you to click a link because that would be unethical. (And those who saw my fine managerial work in the USWA know that I NEVER cheated…despite what ol’ “Banana Nose” Lance Russell used to say.) However, I wouldn’t exactly be upset if you decided to click or one two links every time you stopped by for this extra-crispy KFR content, which has, and always will be, absolutely free. And if you’re thinking about about buying a book or DVD, why not click through to Amazon through this site?

You all know that I’m from Germantown and therefore I certainly don’t need the money (ahem), but I thought I’d expain why you’re suddenly seeing ads. Also, one last thing: Now that I’ll be updating this site nearly every day (promise), do me a favor and spread the word. Feel free to link this site wherever and whenever you see fit.

If you’d like to practice clicking, here’s your chance (and by all means, click like you like you really mean it):

For marks like this, this is a must read and if clicking a few ads helps out, then I will gladly do so.
Did you notice that someone put up the famous Jackie Fargo vs Al Greene hair match? You where obviously too young but I remember it well and completely mark out when the unthinkable happened, Jackie lost.

I run a strict ad blocker and javascript blocker on my browser. I have to whitelist what sites I will allow ads and the like to come through. I know, web developers hate me and my ilk. KFR has been whitelisted and I’ll be sure to help with the ad revenue in any way I can.

Now about your pic at Reggie’s retirement. That’s gotta be the nicest Jack Pirtle’s I’ve ever seen! Bunch of low budgets!

That’s the spirit, guys. Thanks. In return, I’ll be providing a lot more content. Let me know if you have any requests. In a sense, I’m working for you now. (Don’t get cocky.)

I was a little young for the Fargo/Greene bout, but my dad used to love retelling that angle. Apparently, Greene goaded him into the match by talking about Fargo’s daddy, calling him “a yellow-bellied dog.” Fargo came out in tears saying he his dad had recently passed away. Greene came back out, ostensibly to apologize: “Well, I didn’t know his daddy was dead. But when his daddy was alive, he was a yellow-bellied dog!”
