Brooke Hogan has an open-door policy

Behold, the artist at work.

Guys and girls of all shapes, sizes, hairstyles, races and religions take note: Brooke Hogan is up for just about anything. On her latest postings on the Global Grind (yes, the Brookester has a blog), she “hollars” about traditional marriage institutions, affirmative affection and the rigors of fame.

She ponders: “How can you define what love is?  Does it have a look? Do you have to be a certain color? Have a certain belief? Have the same religion?….What about being the same sex? This is a subject that I am passionate about because I have always been sort of an outcast in the fact that I never really go with the flow or mold to what people want me to be. “I have dated very different people all my life. Black, white, Spanish, Jewish, Muslim…and yes, I even tried dating a girl.  My best friend is gay and has been a better friend to me than most of my straight ones. Why should we punish people for being true to themselves? Its like telling John Mayer to sing “Hit me baby one more time.” It just doesn’t work if its not real. What’s so beautiful about giving different people a chance is that you fall in love with their differences and see that beauty exists everywhere. In mocha colored skin, freckles, blue eyes, curly hair or straight hair, girl…or boy. Its interesting to hear where people have been in their lives, their reasons for being who they are today, and hearing their beliefs and dreams.  It really improves YOUR life by filling it with …well…LIFE!

“I don’t feel I’m above anybody, but It’s very hard finding friends who understand what I go through on a day to day basis. I’m in the public eye, and things are just different. Unfortunately, fame comes with the things I love to do. I wish the world had a more innocent view and saw just the music and the art I produce and get inspired:)”

My goodness, I feel my soul Hulking up as I type this. I believe I can speak for all of us when I say that Brooke’s progressive thoughts on “mocha-colored” people gives us all hope for race relations in this country. I’ll admit that it’s hard for me to disagree with her view on traditional marriages, especially in light of the train wreck known as Mr. and Mrs. Terry Bollea. Yes, if only all the “haters” out there could take off the blinders and see the beauty of Brooke’s art–which seems to consist mainly of bikini shoots, tanning poolside, shopping with her bro and pole dancing–the world would be a better place, brother.

Ric Flair allegedly assaulted by wife

No word on whether or not Flair did his famous flop after being assaulted.

Ric Flair‘s still got it.

Approximately 18 months after his daughter, Ashley Fleihr, was arrested for allegedly assaulting Slick Ric in a drunken brawl, his wife, Jacqueline Beems, 41, was arrested over the weekend in an apparent domestic abuse case involving the former 16-time World champion.

The Charlotte Observer reports:

Jacqueline Beems, 41, was charged with misdemeanor assault, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. Beems and Ric Flair were married about three months ago.WCNC-TV, the Observer’s news partner, says police received a domestic violence call about 11:40 p.m. Sunday at the Flairs’ house near Colony and Rea roads. No additional information is available. Flair and Beems met in 2004 in Chicago and dated until they married Nov. 11. Each was married previously.

Appropriately enough, my initial Google Image search for the mug shot of the Nature Boy’s wife (misspelling her name as “Jacqueline Beams”) produced the following photo of perhaps Ric Flair‘s only true love:

The Undertaker catches fire at WWE Elimination Chamber PPV

Update from Dave Melzer:

WWE P.R. head Robert Zimmerman said the accident was a mistiming of pyrotechnics and Undertaker was allowed to perform after being cleared by the ringside physician.  Zimmerman claimed Undertaker’s injuries were equivalent to a sunburn.  When asked if WWE will review its policies, he said, “I don’t know.  I haven’t spoken to anyone to find out what was the cause, if it was timing, if there was something wrong with whatever.  We have to go back and investigate and make a final determination.”

There was talk last night of claiming Shawn Michaels was in on the pyro deal that burned Undertaker, turning it into an angle.  One of the things in the decision making was going to be based on if the company has an impressive looking camera angle on it.  Or they may decide against using the idea at all.  Undertaker legitimately had first- and second-degree burns on his chest and neck.  Regarding the whole deal, it’s now considered very lucky things didn’t turn out worse for Undertaker, who worked the match in tremendous pain and refused to shorten the match.  The sleeve of his jacket and a part of his had melted when the pyro guy shot off the flames early, right where he was standing.

Personally, I can’t help but think Kane had something to do with this.
