The NFL never misses a trick. In a blatant attempt to spark interest in the upcoming season, New York Giants quarterback Eli Mannig took a wicked bump at the hands of the Jets followed by a blade job that would have made Tommy Rich wince–and in a preseason game no less. (Hmmm…I happened to notice that Virgil Runnels was listed as executive producer in the game’s closing credits.)
